Ahhh...

It's a Saturday morning with a clean house! Heaven on earth!!

It's been a busy last 24 hours. Dan had his Nerd Night (oh, I mean Game Night) here, so I made all sorts of healthy food like giant chocolate chip cookies and pigs in a blanket and pina coladas for him and his friends to eat. After a quick sweep to make sure the house was clean (at least all the "public" rooms) I packed up the kids and we went to my mom and dad's for a fun sleepover. I'm not sure why sleeping at Grandma and Grandpa's house is cooler than sleeping at your own, but they love it!

My friend Marcy is having a bridal shower today so I made these for her to serve:

MMM...they turned out pretty cute I think with the blue centers (the brides color are brown and blue.) The only problen was it's pretty warm here today and the centers were taking a long time to harden up. But the boys each had a sample cookie that gave me rave reviews, so at least they tasted good! Marcy made milk chocolate dipped Oreo lollipops with blue sprinkles, I can't wait to see what those ended up looking like - they sound too cute!

Today I am dragging the family out to look at a new community with 22 model homes. Another slice of heaven on earth for me, dreadful for Dan. But he loves me so he goes. That and they are handing out free movie tickets to Wall:E. So if we get free things from doing something I already love to do, I'm all for it!

Your cookies look yum! Your day sounds like fun! I love going peep at open houses, Marc hates it... He will go but waits in the car. Not much fun when you know he is waiting so I go by myself... Wish we were neighbors! Have fun! Susie H~

Those are gorgeous! I love having such a creative next door neighbor. It gives me ideas that I will probably never copy, but I like to think that I someday will! :) Where is this community with 22 model homes? I gotta get myself there!

Cute cookies. You are amazing. I know what you mean about a clean house being heaven on earth. Everything seems easier with a clean house. And I would be right there in the car with you to go look at model homes. Have fun at the movies. WallE is suppose to be great.

Love Denise

How in the world do you get your cookies to looks so perfect? I usually end up scraping my runny frosting onto the cookie and eating it. They are sooo cute!

Twenty-two model homes??? Oh, take me with you! What better way to spend the afternoon than that?

Those cookies are so pretty. I have no baking skills. Even slice-and-bake cookies are a little much for me to handle. I attempted to bake a cake for my husband's last birthday and everyone was taking pictures of it at the party and laughing because it was so pitiful. (That wasn't the reaction I was going for, really.) -Julia ;-)

No way - I just love to look at them and get ideas. (and get free movie tickets) Wall-E was slightly painful but cute all at once. Greg hated it and Graham loved it. If that helps any!
