So did you all watch William and Catherine tie the royal knot?
(of course you did!!!! That is why we are friends!)
I LOVED her dress and those earrings were so pretty!
I loved that they looked genuinely happy together.

I lived in London for a semester Study Abroad waaay back when - so that officially makes me at least 1/32 English. So it was my upmost duty to hold a Royal Wedding viewing party in our "not nearly done but we have a screen" basement!
First of all, I'm pretty sure Royalty doesn't have to move furniture down an awkward flight of stairs 10 minutes before their guests arrive. There must have been a terrible mistake in that regard.
Guests arrived and we had fun showing off our fascinators to each other.
I was showing off some things too and Dan failed to mention that to me.
So this is the only photo where I am modest and would not get a "Tsk! Tsk! from the Queen!"
Sadly, my friend Danielle, who showed her heritage in full church dress and wided brimmed hat arrived too late for the main photo op. But I plan on lifting some amazing and hysterical pictures of her kissing William from her Facebook page later.
We had simple reception food
of cucumber tea sandwiches, salt and vinegar crisps, date pudding and of course, scones and hob nobs.
Simply divine.
Congratualtions to the lovely couple!
I'll make sure to ring them up next time I cross the pond!

Wish I could have joined you! :)
Girl, please tell me you have a different picture of all of us. One in which I am not...doing whatever the hell it is I am doing in THAT picture. Good grief!
I do have a different picture - but you were there and you KNOW why I can't post it. I was exposed!!
Such a great day....I loved the whole darn thing! As for a favorite? I loved Catherine's dress (simple, beautiful, and elegant) and also loved Pippa's dress. They are the most gorgeous sisters ever! I'm also loving the official wedding party photo - it's perfect! But most of all I loved having a party at your house to celebrate the whole event!
P.S. I must have missed the exposure, don't know why Desiree is upset about herself in that picture, and glad that my "just smile and look at the camera for the entire time" philosophy kind of paid off.
Your party sounds fabulous - I loved it all - just pure magic.
I must have been in la la land fantasizing about my big kiss with your screen...
What is this "exposed" business you speak of?
How fun! I watched most of it with my mom and the phone. I cried when Harry and William arrived in the car (so handsome) and with Kate too. Just stunning, so glad I got up early to watch!
It was so fun!
I think you must have just exposed yourself in the second before because I was peeking at you! :)
Fav part: When Prince William said "You look beautiful" just Princess Cathrine reached the alter and her flowers, tradition and sentiment = perfect
It looks like it was awesome! So sad I missed it. I probably could have learned a lot from you ladies since I am kind of clueless about this stuff anyway. Who is Prince Harry anyway ? :)
CUTE!
I love the hats.
hugs,
Fritzi
Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! I really appreciate your comment. I'm glad the post wasn't offensive at all. Sometimes when you're reading things they come out differently than in conversation, but I wrote it with a happy heart and I'm glad that showed through!
As for the Royal Wedding, my favorite part was that second balcony kiss! Loved it.
