My Aunt Jean passed away today from cancer.
She was a quirky lady, once she got her mind set on doing something, nothing could stop her from doing it. Whether it be buying a new outfit (she was quite the shopper) or moving back east as fast as you could throw a "for sale" sign up in the yard - once the thought was in her head, you could not stop it from happening!
She loved movies, going out and good looking men. Kevin Costner was her favorite! I wonder how many times she watched "Dances with Wolves?"
She was a good daughter, she took such good care of my grandmother for years after my grandfather passed away. She was a good sister to my dad. She was always so kind and thoughtful to my children, bringing them little treats on holidays or having a special something for them when they came to trick or treat.
Jean liked to talk (a lot,) she was a very talented quilter and she loved to bake - she was always passing along a new recipe that she had found or baking something for a friend or neighbor. She loved a good Starbucks drink and I think I will be having a one tomorrow and toasting it to her in her honor.
Here's to living a good life!

Kristen....I'm so sorry about your aunt! I love your tribute to her and all the things she loved (who doesn't love Kevin Costner in Dances with Wolves....).
Cheers to a good life!
So sorry for your loss. She sounds like she was a wonderful lady.
