I'd Like to Thank the Academy...

As previously mentioned, I've won a blogging award from this lovely woman, Chris at Just A Girl. I found her cute blog and from her first post I was hooked - I mean, look at her First Aid Kit. And she leaves mail for her kids in little mailboxes before she goes to work - how CUTE is that?! I, like her, am not new to lurking so there might be some fun new reads in my list for you!

So I'm passing on the torch and here are the rules:

1. You have to pick 5 blogs that you consider deserving of this award for their creativity, design, interesting material, and also contribute to the blogging community, no matter what language.

2. Each award has to have the name of the author and a link to his/her blog to be visited by everyone.

3. Each award winner has to show the award and put the name and link to the blog that presented her/him with the award. (I'm already lost. I had to read this rule three times.)

4. The award winner and one who has given the prize has to show the link of "Arte y Pico" blog so everyone will know the origin of this award.

These are some blogs I love and why:
1. Sweet Chickadee - This is my best friend Kjersten's craft blog. I am proud of her for starting it and proud of her for getting crafty. She sews without patterns and is always on the hunt for a perfect made from scratch cake recipe. We love it when she will stop by with samples for us to give our all important opinions! MMMM!
2. A Journey To Our Daughter - I don't even know how I found this blog, but I love it. Her photos are amazing and her cookie blog inspired me for Lauren's blessing day. She makes me want to step it up a bit in the mothering department in making even the little moments special.
3. Kelly's Korner - I found her blog when looking for a recipe and there she was. Kelly dresses cute, has great hair and never looks anything but perfect in her pictures. A fun blog I like to lurk on - but she just seems like the type of girl it would be easy to be friends with.

4. Nesting Place - All I can say is I read her blog religiously and she is so creative! I love the Nester. I want her to be my new next door neighbor, a sister in law, whatever...just so I could take advantage of her talents in helping my house look cute! This is one of my favorite blogs ever.
5. The Picky Palate - I'm a girl who needs pictures with a new recipe. I need to know what it's supposed to look like! This blog does the trick - and the food turns out as yummy as the pictures look!
