I might have to break this up into a several posts!
Our family went to Disneyland last week. I saved up for this trip for over a year and it was FANTASTIC to pay for every.single.dime of it with cash. It was a long wait but we all were really excited about spending 4 days there!
The kids love sleeping in a hotel. We took the kids swimming at the hotel and then went to bed early that night!
Lauren had her own little pull out bed that she became very possessive of very quickly.
We woke up bright and early on Tuesday to pick up our tickets...and off we went.
I ordered this darling little outfit and found matching hair bows for Lauren on Etsy. She looked SO cute!
Entering the park
We went straight to City Hall - this trip was to celebrate Greg's 7th birthday and Lauren's 4th - so they each got a button and a phone call from Goofy!
It's our family tradition to always ride Dumbo first thing, and then the carousel is the very last ride on the last day.
Oh my word - who is that old lady? I'm thinking Botox might be in my near future...let's pretend not to see my wrinkles and look at Lauren's cute face on her first Dumbo ride!
Dan's shoulders got a bit of a work out, but we hate the thought of dealing with a stroller when the park gets crowded. We've never had to thank goodness.
Imagine Lauren's surprise when we turned a corner and there was Ariel!! She was so sweet to talk to Lauren and asked her to go for a walk and a "twirl" with her.
She was in HEAVEN!
Greg loved getting his driver's license at Autopia.
Graham thought he was hot stuff being finally old enough to drive his own car!
The BIG ta-do in our family was Greg being tall enough to ride Indiana Jones! We did a parent trade off and got 3 extra fast passes which came in handy later on that day. Greg went on this ride 4 times he loved it so much!
Lauren and I hung out and she tasted her first Dole Whip. A life milestone for sure.
My boys LOVE the Innoventions House over in Tomorrowland...they thought Asimo was just amazing.
Greg and the Storm Trooper - so cool for him.
We shared a little bag of Mickey shaped beignets over in New Orleans Square
Powdered sugar mess = deliciousness for Graham. Yum.
Headed back to the hotel for an afternoon rest and came back later that night!
More on day 2 tomorrow!
