I Hate to Admit It.

But I am a really lame blogger these days. It's been crazy around here and I'm trying to go 100 different directions. I am also deciding what to do about this blog. I love blogging and have really found some amazingly talented ladies whose blogs I love to read. Especially when it comes to decorating. I want my blog to be more like that.

Then I am also a bit bugged about all the people that I am finding read my blog. But never comment. So...are you reading to lurk and just be snoopy? It's ok, we all love some Charlie Brown and Snoopy. But just being snoopy? Makes me feel a bit weird. I really don't want to go private though. But when it's people who live within my own neighborhood or state? Odd.

So I am up in the air about creating a second blog and then making my family one private to my friends and neighbors that DO comment. What to do, what to do.

Any advice anyone? I'm really stuck on this one.

Interesting idea - and not a bad one!

I'm fairly new to your blog and have commented a few times. So I hope that I'm not one of the lurkers you talk about. I have been feeling the same way with my blog lately. In the sense of being so busy with life, not knowing where I want my blog to go (actually I would love for it to be like those "big" blogs on decorating but I'm not to that point.

I actually do have two blogs, one which is private. I keep my ideas and what not there.

I'm one of the lurkers and just like to read it to be snoopy!! Love your blog and all your funny stories. You do such a great job with it. I like my blog being private because then I don't worry about all the little details I'm putting in.

okay fine I'm confessing. I'm a lurker. It's Emily from your ward. I love checking out your blog. I always get a good laugh. Hope you don't mind to much. :) I wasn't even sure you knew who I was therefore I never left a comment. Maybe you do know who I am??

Are you breaking up with us? Is this your way of saying you "just wanna be friends"? I don't think so. Quit blogging? Come on. Who does that? Maybe just revamp the direction you want to take it, or just quit being weirded out and do what you're doing. Regardless, there's no quitting!

Okay, okay, I'm a lurker (non-snoopy version really)! I read lots of blogs on a daily basis, some I comment frequently but others I do not. Love reading your posts and your darling kids - I'll poke my head in with a comment more frequently so that I'm not confused with a creeper lurker :o)

And feel free to stop by my site too...

If I were you...create a decorators blog so you can bounce ideas off of other decorators (such as yourself...not me). Then, keep this blog as "What's going on in the exciting life of Kristen!" That way..I can get a good laugh at your blog and the way you write! (you really are clever). AND. I can know what you're up too when it gets cold and dreary and we won't be outside.

I love to read blogs in the morning when i am eating my bowl of oatmeal. It starts my day off on the right foot (and then goes downhill quickly!)

Keep your blog. It's too entertaining.

You need to keep your blog, I love it. I think having a blog that is not private you are going to get those "snoopy" people (I admit I do it) and I think that is something you have to deal with having one and hope nothing comes out of the "snoopiness." But if you do go private you better put me on your list...I always need a good laugh and I know where to find it. You clever little girl!

I love to check in on your blog. So, call me Snoopy. But I try to comment as often as I can. I LOVE reading your cute stories and seeing how absolutely creative you are with your posts!! Make sure I'm invited if you go Private.

I can't read your blog!!! I've visited several times in the past week and the screen is black! Except for the comment part!!! I will keep checking back!

Oh, the DRAMA. Sounds like you already have a plan and you are good at taking charge. You rock on sister. I check your blog everyday cuz' I think you're the bee's knees. Lam-o lurkers are just Lame. But my sister sent me a quote the other day to help me out... Here it is...
"It's a sign of you own worth sometimes if you are hated by the right people."--Miles Franklin
I'm not sure that this quote is applicable to your situation but it helped me. Well, my dear friend, I'm off to prepare for a hurricane (I am seriously unprepared and I'm wishihng I had your food storage room.)
hugs,
kat

I am with you sista!
people come up and tell me they read my blog...never a comment!
I don't have time to read everyone's so I am selective these days...maybe they don't leave comments cuz they are mad I'm not commenting on their blog???
I only have time for my favs...you're at the tops so keep me in the loop :)

You get so many comments, that sometimes I don't leave one BUT it is a good idea to make a second one if you think you will keep up with it. I love the mix of your blog though. Some family, some crafts etc... Overall you are just too cute!

Okay - I can see your blog now - that was weird!!

Don't go private!! What is the point in having a blog if we can't all meet you!!!

I love your blog, but alas, do not always comment. I rarely comment on anyones though, no sure why. I love your blog though, your humor and fun-ness (a made up word of mine) are a great way to start a day. Hey, now that I've left a comment, does that count for my visit this month? (-: he he he.

I'm not to the point where I have to worry about who is ready my blog ~ I'm thrilled when they do! In fact, I don’t even know how to figure out who is reading my blog.

With that said, I am somewhat careful what I say on mine. I don't show pictures of my husband or give his name, due to his job. I try not to tell anything that would embarrass my children (however, they are teenagers and everything I do embarrasses them so, what's the point?!) and because this is a representation of me and my family, I try to keep it warm and light hearted.
I wouldn’t have had the pleasure of meeting you, nor a few other new friends, if you were private. Just as in our daily lives, we meet those that we care to share with and others that we simply smile at and go on with our days. Just think of those that are peeking at your blog as ones you smile at, and then move on. As long as they are not nasty, there is no harm.
That's my .50 worth of long winded advice.

You're sure to get a lot of comments about this, right?! I'll admit, I'm not the best comment leaver. Frankly I just love to click-in really quick, see what cute and creative things you have posted and leave. If only I would stop checking other peoples blogs maybe I would actually take the time to update mine :) Anyway, I'm glad you're paying attention to who visits your blog - it's good to know and hopefully makes you feel more safe.

So here's to hoping I'm not the only ODD one in the neighborhood - I love your blog and would really miss it from my daily routine :)

It IS slightly unnerving to see how much traffic your blog gets and how few comments you get (and I mean "you" as in ME), isn't it? I have to keep reminding myself that I started to blog to record our first time homeownership and to not be concerned about who comments and when. But boy is it HARD. I get a little freaked out about who reads every day that I don't know about. lol Hope you stick around though! And...I have to admit there are a lot of blogs I rarely comment on because they get so many comments already that figure they'd never notice me. Who they probably have no idea who I am even am! Kwim?

I'm curious how is it that you know who is looking at your blog? (I thought I was computer savvy...) I love your blog and whenever I have time to look I comment. If you go private you had better add me! I think private is the way to go to keep the kooks away. :)

Is this post just a way to generate comments? Because its working! I never comment on anyone's blog but then again I never get any comments on mine so I don't even think about it. I do enjoy finding out where in the world people are that are reading it and trying to figure out if I know them or not!! Since I don't see you much on MC these days I love reading your blog to see how you and the kids are doing so don't quit or I'll find some other way to stalk you....there!

No NO!!! That wasn't the intention at all!
