My Latest Preoccupation

I walked through this model home up the hill from me a few months ago and it stayed on my mind so much that I made Dan go back with me this last weekend to take pictures of it. This was a really big deal since Dan and I are madly in love but we have few things in common. So him going looking at a model home when a) we already have a house with no real intentions to move right now and b) it's a Saturday = sacrifice and true love.

I think Kjersten might be the only one who catches WHY I love this house so much right away. For those who don't I love the movie "Something's Gotta Give" but love love LOVE the interior design of the set of that movie to the point where I've got set pictures saved on my computer that I found on-line. Must be the whole beach thing. I really do love all the space in the kitchen though - you can't tell from the photos that it goes into a great mud room and powder room also. Then on the other wall, a walk through butler's pantry.

So now I have this all documented for when we go to build our dream home...still warming Dan up to that idea also!

I have been there! It's a beautiful house. I loved the beach theme, too. I can totally see you in it. She also said that the kitchen is actually wider now so that if you are sitting at the island you aren't up against the fridge (which is what I asked about). I think they expanded it by a foot.

What a beautiful home. I hear you about Diane's home on Something's Gotta Give. My sister Buffy is obsessed with that home as well. I can see you there for sure.
I love looking at houses. I especially like going to estate sales because I feel like I get to be super nosey. It's good to dream about what you want. At least we're the kind of girls who always know what we like and don't like. We're lucky.
love you,
Kat

Heidi - I noticed that about the island as well. Way too close to the fridge.

Kat - Estate sales are the best. I miss going to the ones up in Federal Heights..some are creepy though. Better in the more affluent neighborhoods I think!

I hear you sister. The estate sales in Mississippi are lame. I love going to the ones in Pasadena.

What a pretty house...I hate going to model homes because it just makes me want it, it isn't good. It just looks so new and clean.

Love that house! First I thought it WAS yours because I could totally see your house looking like that. Where is it? I must go see it. :)
