First let me say - ONLY ONE MORE POST GIRLS!!! Get ready to comment away on Monday for the big giveaway! Ok, medium sized giveaway! But what do you care? It could be a free prize for you!!

This is how many paint colors I went through. They all had some sort of redeeming quality at the hardware store and then you get them home and OH - some of them were UGLY! And the names...I'm funny about how I don't want the paint to have some weird name. Like Lauren's room for instance:

Pixie Dust - isnt' that lovely and sweet? (and 4 coats of very very pink!)

So I started with Jekyll Crane Cottage Green which was much too yellow. But it will look great in my hall bathroom with some beadboard come August.

And after trip #2 to Lowe's I ended up with Homestead Resort Pale Olive.
Love it!
View from my desk into the foyer. I now need a mirror or wreath to go above that table.

View from my front door walking in. Aren't those keys cute? I saw a woman pick them up in a store and then she put them down. I picked them up and the sales woman told me they were the last set. The other woman was not happy. But I got them fair and square. She had obviously never been to a garage sale. If you think you might want it - don't put it down!

Speaking of which, I did go to a few garage sales this morning. Still no chair but I hit the jackpot for Lauren! I got everything in the picture for $13.00!! It's all Gap or Gymboree except for the white hoodie. The little yellow dress at the top is the gauzy pleated poofy thing...so sweet.
I don't have a picture but I found Dan a slightly used Toro lawnmower for....$30! He went to pick it up and the took his offer of TWENTY!! Listen to me all knowing lawnmower brand names like I used to work at a home improvement store or something. Oh wait, I did. But I was in the interior design section, ok?

I love that green color! It looks fantastic! Choosing paint can be overwhelming. I bring home a million colors and then sort through them over and over.

That storage container is just for our boxes and small stuff. We'll load it up over the next week and then the movers will come to take the big heavy stuff. We have waaaaaay too much stuff. ;-)

Hey SITS sent me over...I do the same thing with those paint cards...I tape them on the wall of the room I'm getting ready to paint...sometimes they can be there for weeks...and then I walk in and take a few down...until I find just the right color...then hope I don't hate it when the whole wall is done...

It's the perfect green and it looks lovely. I love that you snagged the cool keys. You show them sister. Oh, and the Lauren fashions were a super steal and she'll rock them. I don't know anything about lawn mowers but 20 bucks sounds like a good deal.

It is a great green! I agree, names really make the difference.

Love the keys. I think every room needs a touch of black and they are perfect.

Good find with the Gymboree clothes! I LOVE Gymboree! I could spend a small fortune in that store.

The color is great. I am going to be painting my kitchen/family room soon and I am having a hard time picking a color...and they do look all different when they are at the store from when you get them home.
