My Weekend Aquisitions

My mom and dad had the boys over for a sleepover Friday night.
So you know what that means...Dan, LuLu and I headed over to CostCo to have a look at all the new summer things!
We are super cool and romantic like that.
Dan bought me a cupcake holder...don't you love it?  I do.  Not that I haul 36 cupcakes everywhere I go.  But I might now...because I CAN!
I was super excited about this...be happy for me.
I don't know about you but this time change has thrown me for a major loop!  I've been up until 1:00 a.m. every night.  Thursday I was up and thought I would check out the garage sale ads for this weekend and in my drowsy state thought...."um...did I just see my furniture?"

Click...back button (x 5-10 clicks) and YES.  YES I DID!!!  FOR SALE!
Used...but barely used.  We're talking the wrappers still on the furniture!
I sent off an email asking the lady how much she wanted.
I put my low ball bid in.
And waited.

Dan called me from work to ask if I was anxious.  Usually - yes, I am a worrying mess and stress over DUMB things.

For this...I was oddly calm.  Because I think it takes a certain kind of girl to fall in love with this furniture and it takes that girl to have a certain kind of husband to let it in his house.

I am that girl and thankfully I married that guy.  She emailed me Saturday morning......it was mine for the taking!

I got a love seat....
A new BFF for my other chair - I now have twins!
 A coffee table
An end table as well as a twin for the solid black chair. I had to move that into my room for now.

So FIVE pieces for LESS than the price of ONE of the chairs I had originally purchased!!!
The plan is that ALL of these pieces are going into the large basement family room when that is done.
But for now I have enough seating for a small country.

How was your weekend?

That is the deal of the century!!! I can hardly believe you found your same furniture! So perfect :)
Me, I found folding chairs that are counter top height...extra seating for the kitchen table. We now seat 8!
The cost $3 each!

I think I am going to come over today and decide which cushion is the most comfortable for book club. :)

The twin chair to the right as you walk in. That is the one that hasn't been jumped all over by three minis! :)

Wow! What lucky finds! My weekend was no where near as entertaining since I had 2 kiddos taking turns at being sick.

Love the blog

A visit from a SITSA!
