Anything Else?

Let's see...I've had an infection that required antibiotics and a day in bed, shipped off my boys most days to my mom and dad, let the house get trashed beyond recognition, had a family birthday party for Greg, (which has resulted in the boys eating birthday cake for breakfast this week) had my washing machine break, took Lauren down to Orem to her 2 week appointment (she is perfect, just as we suspected) and had numerous other health problems in recovering from this c-section that I will not go into horrific details about.

So...I'm going to be optimistic and say that it only gets better from here. Right?! Right, because Dan and I got 5 hours of sleep "in a ROW" (16 Candles anyone?) last night. The sun is shining and as of today I am down to my pre-pregnancy weight. Life is good!

Greggie John is THREE!

My sweet sweet boy Greggie is three today! How does the time fly by so fast?! He was such a good baby and is tender hearted little boy. Getting into trouble (rare for him) almost brings him to tears and he is Graham's Number One fan. I had hoped that my boys would be best of friends - and who could not be friends with him? He has big blue eyes, an infectious smile and happy, easy going personality.

His world has just been opening up and he soaks up every detail. He is deceptively smart and likes to tell me what and what is not, "his favorite." He adores dogs and all of them are named Copper. He has the longest coloring attention span of any child I have ever seen and is not a fan of television with the exception of the Train Movie. He loves to play "Bear" with his daddy, help his mommy cook in the kitchen, volunteers to help Graham clean his room before bed at night and asks to hold Lauren 50 times a day.

Gregory John has been the most amazing blessing in my life. I am grateful daily that this little spirit was sent to be in our family for us to love!

She's Here!!

Lauren Bridgette Olsen was born Tuesday, February 12th at 7:58 a.m! She weighed 7 lbs, 8 oz and was 19.5 inches long!

I'll have to post her birth story later - let's just say that it was hardly a walk in the park like my previous c-sections were! But she is healthy and beautiful and we are all so happy she is here!

Hard to Believe!

That the nine months is up! It's gone by so slow at times and super fast at others. LuLu should be here in less than 12 hours and I'm both a bit nervous for surgery and excited to meet her at the same time! Wish us luck and I'll post her cute pictures when I come home this weekend!

What I Loved About Today

- I loved waking up in bed with a rare occurance of Graham snuggled next to me. Sweet boy.
- I loved that Greg asked to watch the "Train Movie" before anything else in the morning
- I loved Dan working from home and just knowing he was here with me
- I loved taking Graham to preschool and getting a kiss good-bye and him telling me "I'll miss you Mom!"
-I loved Graham coming out of preschool explaining to Grandma how to work a paper bag puppet and Grandma listened like this was all new to her
- I loved finding Greg in bed at naptime with his collection of "Copper" dogs all around him
- I loved hearing the boys balk like a chicken at Red Robin. Even better was Dan and I not being able to convince them that it's a bird, not a chicken.
- I loved Dan reading "The Sneeches" for the 10th night in a row to Graham without complaining
- I loved the boys telling me that they are beavers and the 10 pillows on our bed are their dam. Crash and rebuild, crash and rebuild.
- I loved hearing my boys laugh together and hearing Graham call Greg his best friend
- I loved being invited to the train show in Graham's room, complete with tickets made by the boys
- I loved looking down to see my belly moving like crazy knowing baby girl will be here in just a few days!
- I loved getting an email from Jackson and Perkins! So excited for spring, yard work, green grass and FLOWERS!

First Trip to the Dentist!

I thought Greg might be a bit leary on his first visit but NO! He hoped right up in that chair, loved looking at the cartoon playing on the ceiling tv and let the dental assistant go to town cleaning his teeth. She even flossed them and got him to do flouride. He was soo cute!! He was very proud to get his picture taken for the "Zero Cavity Club" and colored so nice and quietly when it was my turn to get my teeth cleaned.

Just don't mess with his new Blue's Clues toothbrush and toothpaste. He's already made it VERY clear that those belong to HIM!!

The Nursery is DONE!

If she comes out a boy I am in BIG trouble. I went a little pink overboard but I love love love it! I had so much fun putting this all together and now I feel like she can finally come. Just a few more days! My mom finished fixing the tulle skirt for the bassinet (thanks mom!) so now I just need to pack my bag, download a few new songs for my ipod, buy a few trashy fashion magazines for my hospital vacation and I'm good to go! Oh - and we still need a name! But we've narrowed it down to ______ or ______ ...we'll have to wait and see what she looks like first. A little nervous about that since I'll be fairly drugged up, but LuLu will end up with the perfect name I'm sure!
