Come and GET IT!

Remember this cute sweater?
and these darling shoes?
Let's not forget this sweet outfit!

I'm listing a TON of Lauren's clothes on ebay this week! Starting bids are low, I am a hard core bargain shopper and I would just like to break even and make room in her closet for her winter things!

Come over to her auctions and check things out! I have a feeling Lauren won't always be this generous with her closet! :)

Day Two, or "How Many More Minutes Till We Get to the Apartment, mom?"

We stayed in Liberty, Missouri and took the kids to see Liberty Jail where Joseph Smith and others were imprisoned for several months.
Not to sound rude, I am all for history, but it's not really at the top of my list to go and see church historical sites. Maybe because it was a prison and not a pretty cathedral.
A jail is a jail folks.
The woman there was really nice and gracious to give us the "We only have a 1/2 hour and we have small and wiggly children" tour. Whew! Graham and Greg really like looking at the jail, seeing how the men were in a cell that most of them couldn't even stand upright in (for months!) and Graham is now asking me at mealtime, "Is this food poisoned?"

Look at the orbs in my photo there -oooh. Spooky.
And this was the rest of the day. LuLu finally gave in to sleeping in the car! For some reason she only slept when I was driving. Thus not enabling me to take any decent car naps.

We passed through Lincoln, NE and I cannot tell you what a cute place that is. From what I saw. Which was Lincoln, NE without any snow. With snow might be a different story. But the views from the road were gorgeous!

We ate at Taco Bell and the boys thumbed up their noses at it. Chris would NOT be happy about this.

ALL Aboard!

We set off at the early hour of....well, 8:00 a.m. Not quite as early as we had hoped and we needed to get to Nebraska that evening. So it was full speed ahead!
Nebraska smelled like fresh wheat and mint to me. It was divine! We saw a lot of towns like this from the road - sad. I always want to move there, fix up the Main Street and then move to the next town.
Our stop for the night! We Hampton Inn'd it the whole way - thank goodness we came when we did. Rail Days was the following weekend and all the hotels in the area and beyond were booked solid. At least that was what I was told by the sweet lady working there. She was quite excited about this.
Greg taking in the view of North Platte's train yard. The largest in the WORLD! It was 2 miles wide and 15 miles long. The boys thought this was fantastic. (It was pretty impressive!) On the other side of Greg was corn as far as you could see - crazy!
We of course had to stop by and sneak up on an Indian. Shhh..you need to be quite though since he is hunting that buffalo in the field!

Sod House Monument. Can you imagine trying to keep the flies out of something like that? Neither Graham nor Greg believed me when I said the house was made from sod!
That and 8 hours of driving was about it for Day One. We were so tired but as soon as we arrived at the hotel, ate some pizza and took the kids swimming, you'd have thought we took the kids to Disneyland they were so happy. So happy that it took us 3 hours to get them to sleep that night!

Georgia on My Mind, Nebraska on My Grill

Miss me?
We just got home from a 12 day drive from Utah to Atlanta and home again.
With three kids in the car. And we all still like each other! A-may-zing!

After early morning soccer I am happily home singing a la Snow White while doing my laundry. Or maybe Dorothy?

There's no place like home!

Trip details to come when I can see the bottom of the washer!

8 Years!

Happy 8 Year Anniversary to me and my sweetie!

We celebrated by playing with the kids and my cute nieces today, yummy Mexican food take-out and a late night run to a coffee shop for dessert.

Dan got me a new camera (pink!) Love it.
This man has had my heart since the day I met him.

Love you Dan..more than the mulberries.
It's been a great 8 years, here's to at least 80 more!

Why Boys Are Fun

Because when you leave the room and come back to start freezing peaches they scare the daylight out of you with rubber snakes.

I love that Graham got me like that. He was giggling in the hallway and it was so cute. Of course then I found the snake everywhere I went the rest of the day!

Weekend at the Farm

I took the babies on a trip up to Firth, Idaho this weekend. My girlfriend, Kjersten's grandparents owned a farm there and it has since been passed down to her mom since they have passed away.

What a great place for the boys to roam free and play!
We of course had to make a trip to the state fair that was in Blackfoot.
Last time I had been there was for a Tanya Tucker concert circa 1992.

Boys trapped in a pig pen. Just like their rooms, they felt right at home.
Of course we had to pay through the pigs nose for Americana food.
Making goat faces.
My sweet dolly.
Bowling on the farm with wagon wheels on Sunday afternoon.
Graham took this very seriously.
We picked some yummy peaches. I'm going to freeze them for delicious things this winter.
The boys found bugs to their hearts delight. They also were able to ride a rope swing for the first time. Talk about grinning ear to ear - they thought that was the coolest.
Greg in the cow chute.
Learning to rope. He brought this rope to show and tell at preschool today. He loved it that much.
LuLu playing in the clothesline.
Cowgirl LuLu
Hide and seek in the corral.

Aside from a minor incident or two - the boys had a terrific time with Kjersten's boys and it was a great relaxing weekend! I came home feeling slightly claustrophobic though and told Dan I need more land!
I'm certainly not the farming type but I could be alright with an acre or two!

Hope you had a great Labor Day weekend and sent the summer out with a bang (or in our case, ye-HAW!)

Feelin the L-O-V-E

Graham, my non-emotionally-expressive child came up to me and handed me this today.
What?!? He loves me AND he LIKES me. Sweet.
Too cute Mr. Grahamer.
I love and like you a bunch too!
Dan must like me too - I got these tonight from him.
Good thing I made him dinner tonight, right!? :)
