New Moon Night!!!

Oh...hello Edward my love....
Or, er, wait..I think I'd rather say that to Jacob this time around.  Not a huge Jacob fan but New Moon made me change my mind.  My goodness that boy had a body to die for.  And I am apparently turning into a creepy old lady who drools over teenage boys.  Ewww.

Either way we were giddy with excitement and I braved staying up WAY past my sick girl bedtime to see the midnight showing of New Moon!  Do I look sick? I am.  I was pumped full of drugs and avoided as many cameras as I could.  This is just a courtesy photo to prove that I was there.  There was NO WAY I was going to miss this though!

Cute Kjersten and I being dorks.  We went to our friend Allison's house for a pre-party and then headed over with about 70 other women to the CRAZY theater.  (ps...Allison, you are now one of my new BFF...thank you again for noticing, that made my night! )

Can you BELIEVE this?  I would've had a lot more fun had I not been sick. I got to feeling all clammy and suffocated just by trying to make our way through this madhouse.  And there weren't as many people to make fun of this year.  Just a lot of stupid ones buying $15 Edward/Jacob drink cups.

We did spot three of the Volturi sitting three rows down from us.  That was hilarious.

Overall - my movie review?  The movie rocked.  WAY better than the book and it's amazing what a little amp in the movie budget can do.  Wolf eyes in the forest a little Disney-esque, Edward's abs a little too pale and look like they could slice a girls hipbone in half.  They were that sharp!  Yuck.  Jacob was divine and I was even impressed by little Miss Dakota Fanning.  That scene where the people get eaten freaked me out in the book and just as much so in the movie.  Jasper still has bad hair but thank goodness someone helped out Rosalie and Alice.

For sure worth waiting up all night to go!!

Have you seen New Moon yet?  What did you think?

I'm Still Here

We are just a little sick...I'm saving all my energy to will myself to get better before Graham's First Grade Program tomorrow night and then New Moon at midnight!

Graham had it, then Greg, then Lauren and now me.
Hoping it goes away as quickly as it did for the kids!

Pow WOW

So, a few of you know I have the honor (?) of working in Cub Scouts as the Cub Committee Chair for our Pack.

A few of you are wondering what the heck that even means.
Believe me, it's taken me a few months for figure it out myself. It's sort of like planning a birthday party every month for a bunch of 8-11 year old boys. Good times.

But now that I've dropped $50 on the uniform and patches, I'm liking it. A lot. Which I probably shouldn't say or they might decide I'm done or keep me in forever and I'll turn into one of those "weird" Scout people. And I mean WEIRD! (srsly)

I left my children in the hands of fate (sorry, I mean Dan, love you baby) and went to Pow Wow from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. I NEVER go away that long without my kids, so to take off to a Scouting thing and not Nordstrom for that long was almost painful.

But all the classes were at a high school, which was fun. The bell was ringing, I had my cute binder and I wasn't too shy to chat it up with the other "kids" like I was when I was 15. Almost had me thinking, "Masters Degree? Maybeeeeeee?" (When the other student loan is paid for sweetie, don't flip out!)

I came home and the kids were happy as clams. Dan made them breakfast, they went to RedBox and hung out all day. Greg was excited because "Dad said we could wear anything we want today." Lauren's clothes even matched!!

I learned a lot of new things. But next time I get time alone I am heading to the Anniversary Sale and buying something NOT khaki. ;)

My name is Kristen and I am newly addicted to using coupons.
Not even kidding, I even have a binder! (So dorky I know.)

I never even heard of it until two months ago...but you install it as your tool bar and when you Google things online, it pays you randomly in SwagBucks: $1, $2, $5, $10, $20 etc., etc.

Fridays are MegaSwag days where you can win more. It's awesome. Not a member yet?
Sign up HERE.

You get $3 SwagBucks just for registering and it only takes $45 SwagBucks to get a $5.00 Amazon.com gift card. (Which is my favorite prize!)

Talk About Poor Sportmanship!

http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=4628040&categoryid=2378529

My sister-in-law sent this link to me of BYU vs. New Mexico in soccer.

What a disgrace to her team!!

If that was my daughter I would've pulled her out of the game. Talk about an embarrassment.
Playing hard is a good thing, playing dirty, notsomuch.

Must.Not.Give.In!

So I forgot to mention that on my way to the gym on Halloween I found a little Shitzu puppy in the middle of the road.

My brother and his wife have two adorable Shitzu's so A) I am tender hearted for them and B) I know how darn expensive they are!

So I got Mr. Newton Fig (that was his name, too cute!) and brought him back home so we could find his mama.

Graham's face LIT UP thinking I had brought him home a dog! Greg also. They had SO much fun playing with him. They decided if the dog were theirs we would've called him Oreo.

A few hours went by and the owners came and picked him up.
But now my boys are asking about Newton, "Can we visit Newton? When is Newton coming back to see us? Can I look at Newton on the computer?"

Greg: "Oh, Newton, I miss you."

Sad!

This is exactly what happened when I got my dog, Bubbles.
